A durable water-repellent zipper designed to help protect the laptop compartment. PFAS-compliant and designed to remain processable in recycling systems. Water-repellent, not waterproof.
Designed with knitted tape that gives the zipper controlled lateral elasticity.
It can flex slightly when a bag is tightly packed, helping the zipper continue to move smoothly under tension. This makes it particularly suited to bags and pouches that are likely to be filled close to capacity.
The construction provides approximately 5mm of additional elasticity on either side of the zipper elements.
Founder’s note
I lived out of a backpack for seven months. One jacket, one hoodie, seven t-shirts, two trousers, two pairs of shorts that doubled as swim shorts, seven pairs of socks, seven of boxers, a laptop, toiletries, and a few other things. Everything washed once a week.
The bag I used worked well enough. With a few changes, it could have been much better. So I designed my own. Eighteen months of sample revisions and supplier back-and-forth later, V1 was ready.
V2 is the same idea with upgraded materials, a second water bottle pocket, and a hidden front pocket with a detachable key leash. It’s the bag I wanted when I started travelling with one.

It is designed to slide under the seat in front of you at its 25L size. Airline allowances vary, so check your airline before flying fully expanded at 30L.
